"Best in Kansas City"
Cheep Antiques has earned an impeccable reputation over the last 25 years for the finest in quality and craftsmanship. If you are fortunate enough to have a piece or two of vintage antique furnishings that need a boost or two, our restoration team wants to help.
Refinishing is a form of restoration, and can include removing a failed or improper finish (like paint) and replacing it with new finish appropriate to the age and use for the piece. But restoration can include a whole lot more, including replacing missing or broken doors, drawers, feet, trim pieces, hardware, and any other part of the original piece. It can also include all kinds of repairs including burn marks, cracks, splits and cracks, loose and damaged veneers, loose joints, worn drawer slides, and every other kind of wear and tear you can think of that comes from many, many years of use.
And, restoration does not always mean making an old piece of furniture look “new”. Sometimes it means making the piece look just like it did right before the latest damage occurred, taking care not to disturb the existing markings that give the piece its own visible “history”.
We know what’s on your mind – how much does it cost to get a piece done? Without seeing your piece, we cannot give estimates over the phone, but we may be able to give you a ballpark figure. Better yet, bring your piece by the shop so we can take a close look, or if it’s too big to move easily, we can come to you.
